Introducing Yasmina Cherelle….
London born singer, songwriter and musician Yasmina Cherelle attracted considerable interest from labels and publishers on both sides of the Atlantic. She has amassed an impressive collection of songs, that in turn has attracted elite collaborations from the likes of Robert Jazayeri (Britney Spears, All Saints, No Doubt), Wayne Wilkins (Beyoncé, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis), Bhavik Knightstarr (Craig David, Pixie Lott) and most recently Pam Sheyne (Christina Aguilera). Musically literate, Yasmina is inspired by an eclectic array of talent including Prince, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey and Ella Fitzgerald, and it was a version of Gershwin’s "Summertime" that saw her win a national talent contest.
All this activity is being closely monitored by live agents who have witnessed her powerful vocal performances (variously and positively compared to the likes of Alicia Keys and Ariana Grande among others) enhanced by a natural stage presence and charisma, fashioned and honed by extensive performances, including leading theatre roles such as "Fame" The Musical.
In addition to this Cherelle is an accomplished guitarist whose talent was recognised in a scholarship bestowed upon her by the University of Dublin. With the return of live music she is considering a number of major support slots for 2024.
Alongside her musical career as a creative, she has also worked on choreography with Kimberly Wyatt (The Pussycat Dolls) and acting with Barbara Berkery (Charlize Theron).
Her sheer determination and relentless work ethic were underpinned by circumstances such as overcoming her long term experience of being bullied. These personal life challenges have inspired a passionate desire to actively support organisations tackling human rights abuses such as Amnesty, and mental health issues that the younger generation are increasingly experiencing through social media of which cyber bullying is a prime example. To this end she has just accepted an offer to become an Ambassador for Rock Against Trafficking alongside the founding members Slash, Fergie, Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas. The legendary British producer Gary Miller (Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Donna Summer) who launched the initiative was immediately impressed by both Yasmina’s talent and personality.
In addition to her gigs and theatre credits she has also starred in numerous TV and film productions including Bridget Jones's Baby and The Royals with Elizabeth Hurley, as well as working with artists as diverse as Drake and Stereophonics.
She had recently appointed veteran publicist Michael Garbutt (David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Dr Dre…) and manager (Robin Gibb) to represent her in North America and the UK.
